1. Introduction & Charateristics

SSS series super high-speed asynchronous servomotor is developed dedicated by REALLAND for high-speed main spindle application, which has a perfect characteristic in speed increasing and decreasing. It can achieve 12000-24000 r/min instantly and runs smoothly at high speed, so it is much better used in the spindle for drilling, tapping, milling machines.

Characteristic Curve

- From the static state to the rated speed (0-3000r/min), the motor can output rated torque of Ted.

- From the rated speed to max speed, the motor can keep the rated power, in this range, the maximum availabie Tmax can be approximately calculated by formula

Tmax [Nm] = Pmax [kW] * 9550 / N [r/min]

Pmax = Ped * (3Nmax-3000-N)/(Nmax-3000)

Compared with the asynchronous motor, it has the advantages of greater acceleration torque, faster dynamic response, and shorter processing time, so it is a better choice for the high speed spindle of the drilling, milling and tapping machine tools.
